It’s sad to see the iconic monument in complete neglect - it felt that the authorities are waiting for it to disintegrate and fall apart . A smelly toilet greets you as you alight from a taxi to enter the ramparts of the monument and the get pestered by photographers who still have not understood paper photos cannot be used in Social media - they just need their phones and charge Rs 10 for a click and add unique filters and they will be a rage . Very good, clean and cozy hotel ! Located in good area (near a lot of popular places) 3 minutes by walk from gateway of India. The hotel is beautiful inside, the room has climate control and is fairly well insulated from noise. Very recommend !
Breakfast was basic but service was prompt and courteous.
Location is excellent, minutes walk from the Gateway of India and the Taj.
Note that the hotel access requires climbing a flight of stairs (before you get to the elevator).
Room and bathroom were clean and adequate. Bed was comfy.
A good hotel in Mumbai. It’s about a 20-minute walk to the Gateway of India and other major attractions, but there are plenty of great restaurants nearby. The neighborhood is overall very pleasant, and the breakfast is delicious and satisfying!
The beautiful scent and Xmas decor at the lobby were most welcoming. Staff were very attentive and personable. Love the comfort of the bed! Located very near to the Colaba Causeway and Gateway of India, which are just a short Uber away.
Room was quite clean and extremely friendly staff... This is more like a lodge than a Hotel and Toilets were very clean... They should ensure corridors are kept clean and not put out clothes and make some room fresheners to give it a good initial feeling... Usually the entry is not pleasant but later it is comfortable... Walking distance to gateway of India... But food if you are a vegetarian it is nearby 100mtrs or so to Madras Cafe and Kailash Parbhat.. Good value for money
Overall good stay, room was small and compact but has everything. hotel is not having restaurant but a lots of good options near by. Staff was very helpful. Gateway of India is approx. 2Km either you can walk else take a bus or cab.
Only thing good about this old badly maintained Motel is great location in the heart of South Mumbai, close to Gateway of India, Taj Mahal Palace Hotel etc.
The place is close to Colaba causeway and there is ALOT of restaurants, shops and things to do around. It also a walking distance to gateway of India and the marine drive. The staff were friendly and helpful.
