Amazing cathedral and history around two key saints.

Amazing cathedral and history around two key saints. Enjoy some cake and a cuppa in the superb contemporary extension that houses the shop and cafe, and linger longer to catch evensong to hear the wonderful acoustics. Outside summer months there are free monthly organ recitals as part of the International Organ Festival so check if one is on when you visit! Really enjoyed the one I attended in May 2022.

The location was very good, close to St Albans Cathedral, restaurants, shops and market. The cleanliness of our room was very good. It was great that there was a mini fridge in the room, although this did not appear in the list of room facilities and would have been helpful to know about that beforehand. A good selection of drink sachets was provided.

Our room was exceptional, with settee, coffee table, TV, fridge and en suite. The bed was very comfortable and we would definitely stay again. Parking was a big plus for our stay. The location was perfect as we were attending our daughter's graduation at St Albans Cathedral and it was also walking distance to a restaurant nearby to celebrate.

We had a lovely stay at the B&B. The location was great for us as we were going to the Gin and Rum Festival at St Albans Cathedral. Viv was really helpful and gave us some local recommendations. The room was perfect, so clean and comfortable and the breakfast was amazing. We would definitely recommend Ragged Hall Lane and would absolutely use it as a base when we come back to St Albans again.

Located opposite St Albans Cathedral, this ancient interesting coaching inn was a delight and very convenient for sightseeing, shopping etc. Given its age there are obviously sloping floors and ceilings, with narrow stair case etc but our room was very comfortable and well-equipped. We did not dine there in the evening but the breakfast was exceptionally good - freshly cooked with obvious care - the best we have had for a long time in a hotel.
