I was looking for something affordable with a unique local feel, in a good location. Adornes hotel was extremely accomodative, the owner very thoughtful and kind, rooms are very clean and have everything you need for the very competitive price you pay. Beds are soft. There's a quirky honesty bar in the cellar, and a large number of bikes free for hotel visitors to use. We slept through breakfast both mornings of our stay, but noted the plate with leftover free pastry with "NO FOOD WASTE" on it at reception after - which is a very nice touch.

The staff were so helpful and friendly, they carried our bags from our car up to our room. They even upgraded our room without us asking, and provided a snack bag when we left. They allowed us to park our car for a few hours after checking out which we really appreciated as we could have lunch in Brugge before continuing our long drive home.

First - the entrance is beautiful.
Second - the smell - whatever fragrance they had smelled amazing.
Third - location - just down from the Belfry Tower and other attractions. Nothing was really more than a ten minute walk which was great.
Fourth - room was a good size. Bed was comfy.
