This small boutique hotel is cute and cozy. Reminded us of some of the small French hotels of the past. The breakfast and breakfast room is exceptional. The staff were all always friendly and helpful. Rooms were nicely serviced every day... a big bonus this day and age. The location is perfect.

Market Square
Bruges is like a fairytale, and the Markt is no exception. The true heart of the city, this romantic square is surrounded by ornate architecture, impressive statues and cobblestone streets. The colourful buildings house restaurants and bars, perfect for a cool beer as you watch the world go by. Once the sun sets, walk amidst the twinkling street lights, drinking in the beauty.

I loved our trip to Bruge and would thoroughly recommend a visit or two but you shouldn't go there for the Christmas Market because you'll be disappointed. We have been to many Christmas Markets and whilst the atmosphere is lovely the shopping is pretty poor.

This is a beautiful apartment with a gracious host. The apartment is spacious and very well furnished. The beds were comfortable, as were the seating areas. The location is fantastic- an easy walk to the market square yet a quiet place to sleep.
The host is welcoming and shared the property’s unique story. The best “instructional book “ of any property we have ever stayed in.
The hotel is very close to the market square. We got there early and they have a locked room to keep your luggage. The room was comfortable with a couple of chairs to relax in. Had lots of places to side and relax around the hotel. Staff was nice.
Breakfast was excellent, as was the entire hotel. Our room was spacious and luxurious. The location was just a 3 minute walk to the Market Square. We took Uber to and from the train station as it would be too long to walk from there.
The check-in was smooth, and our room was comfortable and well-designed. The breakfast room was beautiful, and the breakfast was good. I especially liked the breakfast juices on offer. The hotel seemed quite large, but the lift was convenient. The hotel's location is ideal when arriving via the train station, and there was an excellent market square just out front. The room was quiet, and the wifi was good.
The staff, the room and the entire facilities were exceptional. The location was fantastic-close to the market square without being right in it which made it quiet and relaxing. The breakfast was outstanding. If we get the opportunity to return to Brugge, we would definitely return to this hotel.
Fantastic little hotel with individual rooms and shared bathroom/kitchen. The location is about 10 mins walk from the Market square (where a lot of restaurants and cafés are). The room was very clean and spacious. I was able to check in completely via WhatsApp messages with the host.
The Hotel Botehuis is in the perfect location for those wanting to explore the old town of Bruges and the Market Square area. The hotel in charming, and the staff were very, very friendly. They even let me check in hours ahead of the normal time. My room was quaint with a modern bathroom and spotlessly clean. Wifi reception was spotty, and my mattress desparately needed to be replaced. My back was a bit sore when I woke up. However, everything else about the hotel was wonderful. Certainly recommended and a place to return to.
The hotel is just 3 min from the train station. The historic sights such as the Market Square, Belfort, and Basilica of the Holy Blood are within a 20 min walk.
This hotel is located near the central market square in Brugges (it's about a 5 min. walk), which makes it an ideal location. The host was extremely friendly and gave us an overview of the best places to visit in the city. I really enjoyed my experience here.
The hotel is located just off of Market Square... it is a great location for exploring Bruges. The breakfast was great!!

What Guests Said About Market Square:
It's interesting to watch both tourists and locals alike completely caught up in the same feeling, energy, vibe just being in the Market square creates
There are a ton of tourists from all over, but still seems to be a ton of locals, all living in perfect harmony. The locals, and Belgians in general, are so incredibly friendly and helpful. There seems to be no antipathy toward tourists, quite the opposite. It's interesting to watch both tourists and locals alike completely caught up in the same feeling, energy, vibe just being in the Market square creates. I can't wait to go back for Christmas Market. As I heard in a movie once, Bruges really is a fairy tale land.

Head east/north-east from the market square to see a much quieter part of town, though still with sights to see including a set of four windmills on an open green
