The surrounds were lovely. Ample parking. Everything was provided in the cottage - shower gel, tea, coffee, 1L of milk, cheese knifes, insect repellant and bug spray to name a few. Breakfast was ample for the two of us. Very comfortable beds, fluffy towels and extremely quiet. Wonderful location just off Broke Rd. I would highly recommend The Carriages for a short or longer stay.

Booked at the last minute, but the staff promptly confirmed all our inquiries. The villa was new, clean, and conveniently located, just 5–15 minutes from most vineyards and restaurants. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was spacious. In the morning, you can spot kangaroos near the dam, and also you can enjoy a sunset from the balcony in the evening.

Absolutely LOVED wandering around the Gardens. Was a beautiful experience to be immersed in a variety of artfully created gardens - each one having their own feeling. Highly recommend visiting if you're a fan of nature and or gardens.

We went in Nov - the Christmas Lights in the gardens at this time were spectacular? Well worht a night visit and if you buy a day pass you get a decent discount off the Christmas lights night tickets too. Staff are terrific and very helpful & friendly. All in all a worthwhile visit

We had plenty of room in our apartment. Great location - close to wineries and Hunter Valley Gardens. Choice of on site restaurant, bistro, take away or self catering meals. We ate at the a la carte restaurant- delicious meal. Heated pools were a bonus.
Location is right next to Hunter valley gardens. Clean and well maintained rooms. Value for money. Parking is right outside rooms, easy to transfer luggage. Property has kids play area, swimming pool, golf.
The Proximity to the pool/restaurant was great, ease of access to apartment and use of lock up garage was also really nice. Apartment was roomy and kids loved it. Trip with the family so not much golfing but it would have been a golfers dream stay. Short distance drive to Hunter Valley Gardens, the zoo and restaurants and boutique shops. Nothing was ever really too much of a hassle to get around to. We will definitely come back again.

Room was large and the complex was very quiet considering its main road location. Kids loved the pool. Great location - convenient to the Hunter Valley gardens. Water pressure in the shower was amazing. Outside of the building looks to have been recently redecorated. Gardens are lovely and the staff we dealt with were polite.
The location is beautiful, clean, and comfortable, with breakfast included for a delightful start to the day. It's nestled right in Polkobin, next to Hunter Valley gardens and close to all the vineyards. Beautiful views and got to see Kangaroos right outside our window.

Absolutely beautiful, I knew it would be good but it exceeded my expectations and blew my mind how beautiful it actually is!!
It’s was more the comfortable for 12 ladies, the kitchen was so well equipped for us to cook up a storm, the beds and pillows were so comfortable in every room, the couches and furnishings were cosy and stunning and the fire place was the cherry on top!!
Location is perfect for wine tasting and the hunter valley gardens.
I could go on and on!!!
