The surrounds were lovely. Ample parking. Everything was provided in the cottage - shower gel, tea, coffee, 1L of milk, cheese knifes, insect repellant and bug spray to name a few. Breakfast was ample for the two of us. Very comfortable beds, fluffy towels and extremely quiet. Wonderful location just off Broke Rd. I would highly recommend The Carriages for a short or longer stay.

Lots to see and do other than visiting wineries - although that was our main reason for visiting. However excellent restaurants (although would suggest booking ahead of your stay), amazing wildlife park with animal encounters and beautiful friendly staff and of course you have to visit the lights at the Hunter Valley Gardens. Suggest you alternate the nominated driver so everyone gets the chance to sample the most amazing wines!!!

There are vineyards a-plenty to visit, lots of variety in restaurants, cafes and specialty shops. Hunter Valley Gardens is worthy of a visit and an explore, and fun for all ages. Pokolbin is a place to enjoy the countryside feel in comfort, for wine lovers and a great family and friends meeting place in a nice tempered atmosphere and climate. It can be relaxing or exciting depending on what is your purpose and the people you’re with. Where the wild life is plentiful and you can also connect with nature in comfort or simplicity. You have to experience to appreciate.

Spoilt with the number and quality of exceptional Hunter Valley wineries.
Wines were brilliant. Cellar doors very knowledgeable and willing to share their wine knowledge as needed.
The compact nature of the Valley means travel is easy and without hassles.
Restaurants and concert venues are 1st class.
Being so close to Sydney... it's a must to visit and enjoy the world class wines!

Location was perfect, quiet and relaxing. It was great having a small grocery store, cafe(super coffee and toasties) wine and beer store within Pokolbin Village Estates. The EXP Restaurant is also located here but was closed during our stay. Walking distance to several wineries, Hope Estate Winery(wine, beer and gin tasting)Vamp by Lisa McGuigan and others and of course kangaroos!
Location was very central to all Pokolbin and Hunter Valley has to offer so that is super.
The rooms were simple but beautifully designed and decorated, and beds very comfortable - really nice.
And the garden absolutely stunning.
Check-in was easy. Beautiful location out in the countryside but close enough to wineries and Pokolbin Village. Lovely views.
