Excellent location with view of the beach and ocean, room was impeccable and kitchenette just perfect to prepare a cooked meal. Lovely shower room, plenty of towels and very clean. Beach towels also provided. Staff very friendly and helpful too.

Hatfield
Set in a converted mill dating from 1870, this unique boutique Inn sits on the banks of the Mill River, 5 miles from downtown Northampton.
The Inn's Cafe is open every day from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM, serving a variety of homemade breakfast and lunch items.
This inn had such a nice atmosphere.
The room was big, very very clean. Lots of little thoughtful touches: a full size soap dispenser with pump, coffee machine with creamer, different teas, a couple of water bottles, lots of places to put and hang your things, lots of electric outlets.
We enjoyed falling asleep to the sounds of the waterfall.
Right across the bridge there's a nice tavern that serves cocktails and excellent brick oven pizza.
I think it's now my favourite inn in the Amherst area.

Beautiful charming historic Inn, fantastic location walkable to Chatham and Oyster Pond, which is wonderful for swimming. The food was absolutely fantastic and we recommend having dinner there when the restaurant is open.
The breakfast was prepared to order and there was a very good selection to choose from. The breakfast room was warm and cozy and the staff were so helpful and kind. The dinner in the Tavern was abosolutely delicious and again, the staff was wonderful!

The free coffee and baked good choice was delicious. It was served right in the famous bakery attached to the inn. Would have appreciated an addition of yogurt and fruit choice.There are a few small cafe tables. We loved the old authentic tavern bar and restaurant. Excellent atmosphere and the food and cocktails were outstanding. The bedding was very comfortable and room was clean.
II have stayed at the Red Lion Inn many times over the years and enjoyed it very much. It is a very historic New England inn without high room rates that many of them charge. The dinner was very good and in a classic dining room and the tavern was very nice.
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and the inn was rustic and cozy and very close to great restaurants and easy access to the city.

Great location, very friendly and helpful innkeeper. Our original room was very noisy with a water heater constantly buzzing so he moved us into a different, quieter room. He was cheerful and helpful about this. The new room was great - light and airy and comfortable. The Inn is old and characterful but very very clean and well looked after.
Innkeepers very welcoming and attentive without being in your face. Attention to detail throughout property. Breakfast very tasty.
I had a premium room (that is all that was left) and my friends had the economy rooms. They were great. Comfortable beds and good towels. My room was very large and comfortable. The bathrooms are small but that was no problem. Will always stay here if in Salem. The history of the hotel is wonderful and very safe area @ nite. We also ate dinner @ the Tavern restaurant on site and was very good.
