Location is exceptional. The facilities are far better than 4 star hotels. All rooms have a very good river and Mountain View. Staffs are very helpful.
Small but pretty and cozy apartment near the town center of Guimaraes. There’s a huge free parking a few meters from the apartment, and it’s ten minutes from the town center and twenty from the castle on foot. The apartment is very well equipped, with a good sized kitchen and even a dish washing machine. We got an apartment which faced the inner courtyard, so it was also overly quiet (by the way, the structure’s road is a secondary one, so there is no traffic at all).
The restaurant under the apartment (it has the same name as the pension) is great! The apartment is spacious, clean and has everything you need.
Ana is such a great host!!! She knows so much about the Camino and provided me with great information about it. I learned so much from her. She even took time to help me with the planning of my routes. I can feel her passion for the Camino and to share this passion with the rest. Pedro cooks the dinner and was the best, wholesome dinner I have had so far in the Camino. I love the idea that the pilgrims get to bond together over dinner.

The host Anna was exceptional in her welcome. She is a warm caring individual who truly adopts the spirit of the Camino. I had the pilgrim dinner and sat with other pilgrims. It was a turning point in the Camino for me. I met the same pilgrims each day without planning and it lifted the journey. Anna and Pedro went above and beyond for other pilgrims who were diabetic or had a fall. There is a pool at the back to soak your tired feet and have a beer. You will be well cared for here.
We loved the terrace and the communal dinner which was delicious and fun! Thanks Victor! A great way to meet other pilgrims. I would recommend that option.
Cecilia went out of her way to ensure that my wife's allergies were catered for. She gave us a warm welcome and cooked us a delicious dinner. It felt like being in a friend's house rather than a guest house. Our room was very spacious, well furnished, and had a huge two person shower, very comfortable bed and good quality bedlinen. The garden area with pool and sun loungers was very relaxing and peaceful. Perfect as a stop over on the Camino. Highly recommended
