The renovation--from the rooms to the reception area to the dining room and common sitting area--is contemporary, very nice, and of high quality. The owner and host is exceptionally friendly, helpful, and enthusiastically knowledgeable about both the history of the house and its famous former owner (and designer of the house) and of the City of Viseu itself. Our room was large, comfortable, and quiet, and our breakfast was excellent. The walk to the older central part of the city was reasonably short and a small price to pay for having free, onsite parking.

Boasting a shared lounge, terrace and views of city, Largo da Rainha, Guesthouse is set in Merceana, 49 km from Gare do Oriente. The house is amazing its very well designed and an amazing find. The area has local shops and amenities which is nice if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the more major towns. Overall an excellent stay.

Situated in Quadrazais, 37 km from Guarda Train Station, Casa do Manego features accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. the location is perfect. the cottage is idyllic, very comfortable, clean . it’s brilliant. I just wished I could have stayed longer. I have travelled for 8 weeks and this place belongs to the top 2 . What a dream place, perfect.

PENSÃO AVENIDA is located in Penacova, 13 km from Palace of Bussaco and 22 km from Coimbra Football Stadium. Beautiful town in Portugal. Room comfortable and clean.The staff is very friendly. All t'he facilities. I will repeat.

Situated in Ourém, Casa do Castelo Ourém has a garden, terrace, restaurant, and free WiFi throughout the property. The historic property was charming and beautiful with amazing views.

Situated within 46 km of Our Lady of Remedies Sanctuary and 28 km of Viseu Misericordia Church, Marqueses de Ferreira offers rooms in Lamas de Ferreira. Everything. The property was incredibly clean and on such a quiet road but across from a Pharmacy and bakery where you could buy great coffees, pastries and the infamous 'Pastel De Nata'. Whilst the property was lovely it was surpassed by the fantastic daughter of the owner who helped us gain access and get settled despite us being 4 hours late due to flight delays. This was going above and beyond for a property that isn't a hotel with lots of staff.
