We were greeted warmly after parking in front of the easily accessible, secure, free parking in front of the hotel. Our stay at this well located and beautifully restored home of a revered Viseu teacher/archaeologist has been a highlight of our travels around Portugal. This is a family owned and run hotel and pride of ownership is clearly evident. The family was so gracious and kind and we learned so much about life in this region from them. The lovely, spacious room and large bathroom were immaculately clean and comfortable. Breakfast was abundant and delicious. Our stay was perfect and we look forward to returning!

Extremely clean. But the best part was our host, Miguel. He was extremely flexible and accommodating. We were treated better than we would have at a five star resort.

The accommodation was fully renovated with lots of details from the region. very nice location.

I wanted to thank the staff at Soldouro, namely Sara Silva, for being so patient and helpful with the check in issues i had. She was amazing! As for the property, the room and bathroom were very clean and they had everything needed for a perfect night's rest. The bed was super comfortable and there was even an extra blanket. The AC worked well and it was silent. I will fully recommend this place to others.
