Comfortable room and good bathroom facilities. Tea and coffee making facilities and a small fridge in room. Sainsburys a few doors away. In the centre of town but the road was quite quiet. We tried our first oatcake ever for breakfast from Poveys, who are across the road. Brilliant 360° view from Mow Cop Folly, which is not far away. Lovely friendly people.

Housed in a historic building, the recently renovated The White Hart Apartment Church View offers accommodation with a garden and free WiFi. We stayed here as a family whilst visiting Alton Towers. The room was clean and spacious and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was amazing! Would highly recommend a visit and we would definitely stay again.

Situated in the small market town of Cheadle, The Huntsman is a country pub and restaurant 16 minutes’ drive from Alton Towers Theme Park. Food was stunningly tasty. Not much choice, but that didn't matter.

Set in a 17th-century building with original fireplaces and oak beams, The Littleton Arms serves local produce on a seasonal menu in its restaurant. The staff were lovely and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The room was very clean and comfortable. The food was fabulous.

The Dog & Doublet is a newly renovated country inn located in the village of Sandon, 5 miles from Stafford. It offers individually designed bedrooms, free Wi-Fi and home-cooked food. Breakfast was great with lots of options and Beccy was absolutely fabulous. She listened, worked with us and made variations based on the individual needs of all parties. Steve, the handyman came and fixed the door locking issue at night which was incredible and he also helped out allowing us to borrow his phone to make a phonecall about our aunt's funeral the following day when we could not do it on our own. Claire was also lovely. Just so thoughtful and kind staff - fabulous and made such a great memory for us. The warm position we had in front of the open fire and ate in warmth having just arrived from hot, humid Aussie conditions into icy, chilly but invigorating conditions of England. Ahhh, just delicious.
