This place is fantastic. Little pub in a small village in the National Park. Short drives to Hadrians wall or the Northumberland coast and the pretty towns of Otterburn and Bellingham. Beautifully decorated rooms with private bathrooms. Free parking out front on street. Lovely little bar with friendly staff and locals. Breakfast room and restaurant/cafe is gorgeous and a decent breakfast is included in the room price. It's the quintessential cozy, 'old England' that one thinks of when wanting to holiday here. We love it. (Notes: only here two nights so we didn't think about finding out whether there is anywhere to do laundry, and of course there are no self-catering facilities, although apparently there is a BBQ, but we chose to eat out so didn't ask to use it)

I booked this for my son who was attending a wedding at Le Petite Chateau - the room was clean and comfortable and the customer service was absolutely amazing - very accommodating and extremely helpful Thank You !!!

Situated in Bardon Mill, The Bowes Hotel has a restaurant, bar and free WiFi. The rooms have a desk and a TV, and some rooms at the inn have a balcony. Everything. Lovely little pub on my way to complete Hadrian's Wall path. The room was perfect for me, plenty of space and a very nice bathroom. The service was 10/10, amazingly helpful and considerate. The pint after a long day's walk was spot on. Fantastic breakfast as well, with them being willing to accommodate what I needed.

Set in Alnwick and with Alnwick Castle reachable within 200 metres, The Dirty Bottles Inn offers a terrace, allergy-free rooms, free WiFi throughout the property and a bar. I have a thing of requesting Nicolas cage at every hotel I stay at, and the staff did a fantastic job of providing me with all the cage I could ever need - and they looked like they enjoyed it too. A hotel that enjoys doing that is truly one worth going to - loved everything about it!!
