The hotel staff were excellent, really friendly and informative of the property and history of the building. The food was amazing, we ate in the restaurant both evenings exceptional standard! Great bathroom and beds were so bloody comfy! Got a free upgrade and the lady who owned the hotel stayed up to let us check in at 11:30pm what a gem!

This place is so charming and conveniently close to things that might be the best for a short stay in St. Albans. It is literally across the street from the entrance to the beautiful, remarkable cathedral… a block away from the old city-center and nightlife… and two blocks from the Saturday morning Farmer’s Market and Crafts Fair that stretches for blocks and blocks. The hotel is a gem! First built in the late 1400’s and kept up to date – but still with a medieval feel and layout – and easy, free car parking on site. We’ll gladly stay here again!
