Set in Kildrummy, within 27 km of Huntly Castle and 49 km of Balmoral Castle, Kildrummy Inn offers accommodation with a bar and free WiFi as well as free private parking for guests who drive. David and Sophie were wonderful hosts. They both went out of their way to make sure our experience was a good one. The food in the dining room was fantastic, using local ingredients in creative and very tasty ways. David was extremely knowledgeable about whiskey in general, and several of the area distilleries specifically, and was happy to share. The room was very comfortable. All in all, it was a wonderful experience and we look forward to another visit in the future.

Overlooking Stonehaven harbour, The Ship Inn was built in 1771 and offers modern amenities such as free Wi-Fi and rooms with flat-screen TVs. Perfect waterfront inn with a restaurant and bar downstairs. Parking can be a challenge but we did not experience it.

Balmoral Arms is situated in village of Ballater, in the centre of Royal Deeside. The property offers open log fires and free WiFi. We had a wonderful stay at the Balmoral Arms. Ou room (a junior suite) was beautiful, definitely worth the upgrade as we wanted something a bit special. Everything is clean and seems recently renovated but it hasn't lost its charm. The food was fantastic, we really liked being able to eat in the pub as our dog was allowed to join us there and we liked the atmosphere better than the restaurant area anyway. The staff were kind enough to set up breakfast for us in the lounge every day so our dog could join us there too. When they say they're dog friendly at this place they really mean it! We felt so welcome and thoroughly enjoyed every moment of our stay. We hope to be back some day!

Set 36 km from Inverness Castle, The Old Mill Inn offers 4-star accommodation in Forres and features a garden, a restaurant and a bar. Best food I had on a trip all around Scotland. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very clean and very well featured room.

Newburgh Inn is located 10 minutes from Aberdeen and Ellon, a 5-minute walk from a sandy beach and Forvie National Nature Reserve, home to a seal colony. Great location for our purposes Excellent room. Food good. Staff excellence! Minor glitch with the booking sorted out efficiently. Pays to call the hotel the day before to check especially if you have made changes on Booking.com.

The Ardennan House Hotel is a charming Scottish family run hotel which has been renovated to a nice standard with modern, comfortable furnishings. The restaurant was nice and the food was really good. The breakfast the following day was well done and tasty as well. The rooms were comfortable and spacious.

Great property in an amazing location. The welcome glass of wine was a nice touch but the main reason I would stay again, is the service levels. The owners really went above an beyond to make sure we were happy. Will definitely recommend to a friend!

Situated in Inverurie, 27 km from Beach Ballroom, The Banks Of Ury features accommodation with a terrace, free private parking and a bar. This was a wonderful little Inn/Pub. We got here late and checked in. They advised us where to go grab some food and said to bring it back to the pub to eat. We sat in the pub for a few hours and chatted with some locals and then the bartender who was the daughter of the owners. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The room was nice and comfortable and had everything we needed. We requested 2 rooms, and they were right next two each other.
