Located in Whipsnade, 18 km from Woburn Abbey, Old Hunters Lodge provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar. It was so nice to be able to sit outside at one of the tables in the garden and enjoy the setting sun with supper. Breakfast was spectacular and prepared at the moment. We were not bothered by noise at night even though there is an adjoined pub. Perhaps that depends on the particular day of the week. The hosts were so friendly and went out of their way to help. The location requires dexterity to reach form Luton. We suggest a taxi from Luton airport if you don;t have a car.

The Black Horse at Ireland boasts air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi throughout the property. The quaintness and the facilities. The restaurant and Bar area were superb and The Dinner was outstanding.

Situated in Henlow, The Crown Pub, Dining & Rooms offers free onsite parking and a beer garden. The pub offers rooms with free WiFi, which are situated within converted stables. Very comfortable. Nicely decorated. Nice big TV and a fridge. Option for room service if you wanna be lazy. Provided tea and coffee and milk. We had dinner in the restaurant and breakfast in the morning and all of it was delicious. Also the staff that we spoke to through out the whole of our stay were so nice and friendly. It was service with a smile:) this place far exceeded our expectations. We will definitely be coming back!

Set in Henlow, 20 km from Knebworth House, Bird In Hand offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking and a bar. Very noisy all night long even at 3am. Think social service homeless staying here

Located 6.9 km from Woburn Abbey, The Heath Inn offers 3-star accommodation in Leighton Buzzard and features a shared lounge, a restaurant and a bar. Lovely, characterful property with very welcoming and pleasant atmosphere. Very comfy bed and tasty breakfast! Would recommend!

Opposite a Grade I listed church, The Knife & Cleaver is a AA 4 Gold Star award winning guest house. Perfect Sunday overnight. A lovely room - bright, spacious, comfortable, and modern decor..The pub provides many spaces to gather. The beer garden is big with lots of cover, great live music, and a gastro-pub Sunday Roast. Plenty of parking and delicious breakfast. Friendly, helpful staff. We enjoyed our stay.

This family-run pub and inn is situated in Bedford city centre, within 5 minutes’ walk of the picturesque embankment and the cultural Castle Quarter. This is an old historic hotel over a historic bar. It is close to restaurants and stores, with reasonable walking distance to both the bus station and train station. The room was small but comfortable. The bathrooms and showers are down the hall. They were clean.

Set in the Bedfordshire countryside, the Airman Hotel is 15 minutes’ drive from Hitchin and the A1(M) motorway. The restaurant and bar feature fresh-cooked food, beamed ceilings and a log fire. The young man on reception was lovely, friendly and helpful, but the room was dusty and crowded and I had to clean it myself before unpacking.
