This is an old historic hotel over a historic bar. It is close to restaurants and stores, with reasonable walking distance to both the bus station and train station. The room was small but comfortable. The bathrooms and showers are down the hall. They were clean.

El Airman Hotel está situado en la campiña de Bedfordshire, a 15 minutos en coche de Hitchin y de la autopista A1(M). El restaurante y el bar sirven comida fresca, techos con vigas y chimenea de leña.... The young man on reception was lovely, friendly and helpful, but the room was dusty and crowded and I had to clean it myself before unpacking.
