Located in the southern Jutland town of Løgumkloster, this retreat centre is on the grounds of an old Cistercian monastery and church. It offers free WiFi and buffet restaurant. Peaceful location in lovely grounds. Not a standard hotel - a bit more communal (unforced) eg all eat dinner at 6 pm with a focus on finding peace and slowing down . Many rooms to read and study in. The manager showed us around and explained the concept even though we were really just passing through. Also very good value for money by Danish standards
Tønder
Situated next to Schackenborg Castle in the picturesque village of Møgeltønder, this inn dates back to 1687. It offers free Wi-Fi, tastefully decorated rooms and a gourmet restaurant. Beautifully preserved and cared for. Amazing dinner and a delicious breakfast. Well trained staff.

Located in the southern Jutland town of Rødekro, this inn is 12 minutes’ drive from central Aabenraa. It offers free Wi-Fi and a restaurant with seasonal Danish cuisine. The location was ideal for our visit! A short walk to my Aunt’s house! The breakfast was amazing: huge selection of delicious food and drink! Take away dinner was very high quality and portions were large!
