Gasthaus Spinas is a rustic property located just opposite Spinas Train Station, surrounded by the UNESCO-protected countryside of canton Graubünden. Hotel is situated in a beautiful valley. The hotel is nice, and the shared bathrooms, where clean and well equipped. The owner is friendly and the food at the restaurant was delicious. Breakfast was also great! Good value for being so close to the larger resorts for skiing and other winter and summer activities.

The Hotel Central La Fainera is located in the village of Valchava in the Müstair Valley Biosphere Reserve, 5 km from the UNESCO World Heritage Site Abbey of Saint John. Dinner and breakfast: A+ Views: A+ Room: A+ Staff: A+ Building: A+ Amazing place!

Enjoying an idyllic location between the mountains and the Sarnersee lake, the family-run Landgasthof Grossteil offers fine Swiss cuisine, free Wi-Fi and simply furnished rooms. Quiet and lovely atmosphere in a small village. Very beautiful place. The room was clean and smelled nice. There was a universal plug in the bathroom drawer. And a mosquito killer plug in the wardrobe. Kettle and coffee maker with cups were in the hall. But there are only 5-6 rooms so no problem. The staff were wearing local clothes which were very lovely.

The family-friendly Gasthaus Alpina enjoys a quiet, secluded location in Tschappina amid the Grisons Alps. Sandra is an amazing host - going that extra mile to make your stay pleasant. We loved the place - it is furnished and decorated with love and such attention to detail. You do feel welcomed and taken care of. I wasn’t aware that there was additional charge for sauna - my bad, I probably missed it in the description. We loved the food - the portions were fair and with three course dinners we were hardly managing to eat if all. Sandra kindly offered a full story behind each dish (whether it was traditional Swiss, which region, if locally grown, home made)! Sandra also mentioned the Tchapinna ski area which I recommend if you need to take it easy or have any beginners in your group (CHF36 ski pass which is great for Switzerland. Only ski lifts which is tiring after a while. Still a great day skiing just 10 min from Gasthause Alpina). 40km of piste but not as diverse and large as Flims Laax Falera where we preferred to spend most of our days (CHF90 per day). A fantastic stay!

Located in Poschiavo, Albergo Croce Bianca offers a restaurant, a sauna and a Turkish bath. Poschiavo Train Station is a 5-minute walk away. We received a warm welcome on arrival by the owner with an immediate offer to take us to the train station complimentary. That was only the start of all the personal touches. Twin room had 3 beds in. We requested if they could cook us a omelette or fried eggs instead of the eggs they served for breakfast. It was no bother and done with a smile. Instead of just dropping us off at the railway station the manager carried our luggage and introduced us to the man behind ticket counter. All these small and so important things are not seen other. Well done from seasoned worldwide travellers.

Peacefully situated, the 3-star-superior Hotel Bettmerhof in Bettmeralp at 1957 metres above sea level offers panoramic Matterhorn views and free WiFi. The breakfast was a feast! A buffet of delights with the added plus of a coffee order plus eggs or crepes of my choice. The staff were attentive, efficient and friendly, and the hotel had a lot of really nice little details that I didn't expect. It was wonderful to sit out on the terrace in the warm sun with a drink and a good book. The view was incredible. I really loved Bettmerhof and I am highly recommending it to my family and friends.
