Being only a few minutes from a major highway makes it ideal for stays overnight while traveling. It's located in which seems to be the town center of Haag am Hausruck, a bank and other businesses are nearby. Nonetheless the night was very quiet, there's not much traffic during nighttime. Parking is free and right out front, alongside the road. Even though I arrived somewhat late at night, not only was checking in no hassle at all, but I was also still able to get dinner. The staff went out of their way to assist me with additional requests, which I am extremely thankful for. The breakfast was not only delicious but also plenty. The room seemed to have been renovated recently with attention to detail and was cozy and clean. Wood flooring, modern items like the bowl-shaped sink with an angled tap and stonewall-themed wallpaper in parts of the room made the room appear modern. The bed was very comfortable and blackout curtains were available as well. There was no separate bathroom, but sink, toilet and shower were creatively and nicely integrated into the room/separated from the room and clean. The room wasn't exceptionally big, but big enough.

Set in the vicinity of the Attersee Lake, Gasthof Steinbichler provides accommodation with a free sauna and à la carte restaurant serving Austrian cuisine. Very helpful friendly manager/ owner. Rooms clean. Freshly cooked breakfast to order. Croissants perfect texture. Dinner and Sunday lunch is good wholesome Austrian cooking. Decent size portions. All fresh.
