Harborview Inn, hotel in Essex

This Gloucester bed and breakfast is directly across from the harbour and boasts uniquely styled rooms, each with an en suite bathroom. Various shops and restaurants are within 10 minutes’ walk.

Located on the promenade, perfect for an early morning stroll. We visited in late October, a great time to go, very quiet but most places in town still open. The hotel is very old and full of character. Very clean and cosy. A good choice for breakfast, especially the fruit scones! Certainly recommend staying here.

A beautiful 17th century property that still retained its rustic characteristics both in feel and location. Located near Essex so plenty of facilities nearby as well as Ipswich for its History and Gloucester as a seaport. Great also if you like seafood - plenty of places to eat nearby. It’s owners are very personable and helpful and we experienced a warm welcome. Highly recommended!
