The breakfast menu was straightforward, comprehensive and the food (full English etc) was superb. The staff were extremely helpful and were keen to ensure you got what you wanted. The evening menu was, again straightforward with food of great quality and with good portions.. (restaurant and bar not open Mon/Tues but local options in nearby Elmsworth were both worth a visit). Good location....easy to get to from the Cambridge Services turn off with good access to Cambridge and the surrounding area.

A characterful old Inn in a lovely location next to the river. The staff were superbly helpful, finding a safe space to store our bike indoors and helping us with our bags. The accommodation is away from the bar and restaurant. On site food is excellent, with a good choice for veggies. Breakfast options are also very good.

I had a very enjoyable stay at the Golden Lion which is a modernised tradional coaching inn. nice cooked breakfast as opposed to a buffet was a definite bonus. no car parking on site but local paid car parking is close by and very affordable at £4. Dinner was in the lounge bar or restatuant area. Good enough range of food including hanging Kebabs!

A charming inn, steeped in history, located in a beautiful riverside hamlet. The room was compact, but very comfortable and clean. The restaurant served excellent food and beer. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. Luckily for us, this location was a clue in our photographic challenge and was a perfect place to stay.

Breakfast was excellent, room was small but clean with an excellent shower. The location was rural which is what we wanted. All in all a very pleasant stay, in a very historic inn. Already booked for a months time.
