Perfect for rustic breaks in the countryside, an Inn is a small property with basic hotel services and typically traditional decor. Inns are fully licensed and have a bar providing food and drinks in the evening – distinguishing them from country or guest houses.
Sebastian was a wonderful host. We arrived a bit late - around 10:00pm and he was super gracious about that. He was so helpful - - he helped us with an issue we had with a ferry the next day and also told us where we could get a late dinner.
A very clean, very comfortable place in a beautiful location with great views. The staff was extraordinary, even waiting up for us when our ferry arrived well past midnight. Breakfast was great, as was the optional dinner. Highly recommended.
Lovely traditional house with very friendly and helpful host. Even though he didn't understand English and we didn't speak spanish, everything went smoothly. For dinner I ate good local merluza (hake).
The room was spacous, comfortable and warm. It had all the kitchen facilities and utensils we needed to cook our own dinner and provided a few essentials like oil, salt, sugar and coffe. There was also a jar of rock salt with sriracha that we are now looking for to buy ourselves. The host was very friendly and helpful. The room was very quiet and the property had a secluded forest vibe.
The Hosteria Catalina is ideally located to get to the ferry port of Hornopiren and to spend the night before the ferry trip. The host is very friendly and helpful. The neighborhood is nice and quiet. The breakfast is simple but ok. The internet was stable but not very fast.
This was our second visit to Hosteria Catalina on this trip. Innkeepers Vladimir and Patricia went out of their way to take care of our every need. On this visit, our ferry from Caleta Gonzalo was delayed to arrive at about 4am in the morning instead of 10 at night. We contacted Vladimir, and he held our room for early arrival and had a hot breakfast waiting. Hosteria Catalina is just a few blocks from the ferry terminal. We highly recommend this lodging!
From start to finish, the innkeeper Vladimir was service minded and cheerful with lots of great information. Hosteria Catalina sm is walking distance to the Somarco Ferry which is the way most visitors are continuing their journey into Patagonia. The Ferry was cancelled for two days due to bad weather, and Vladimir did his best to accommodate the stranded travelers. Also very good breakfast included.
