Town of Gemlik District. It is located in the southwest of the district center, 15 kilometers away. Its old name is "Elegmi". During the Ottoman period, it was a village where Christian nationalities formed the main majority. While the Armenians, who attempted to revolt against the Ottomans, were forced to migrate in 1915, although there were also some Greeks in Kurşunlu who left the village, the Greek population constituted the majority until the end of the War of Independence. During this period, some Muslim-Turkish families also moved away from the village in the face of Greek and Greek pressure. There are two church ruins in the village. Of these, it is called Ilagios Taxiarchoi, which is in the direction of Gündoğdu. According to the information given in the study published by C. Mango, it was stated in its eight-line inscription that it was built in August 1803 by Anthimos, who was the Metropolitan of Bursa between. This building is used as a warehouse. There is a second ruin near the sea to the east of the original village. This building, known as Hagios Aberkios Monastery Church or Theotokos Monastery Church, is counted among the oldest ruins that have reached the modern period in South Marmara (See HAGİOS ABERKİOS MONASTERY.
