  • Hi, I see you allow dogs. Where are they permitted to sleep - with owners in bedroom or elsewhere?

We do. They are welcome in the owner's room- not on the beds please and it also very much depends on size. We had a Great Dane arrive and that was difficult!

Company information

Rebecca and I returned to Wales after a near lifetime overseas. We worked in finance and management consultancy and Rebecca had a successful catering company and cookery school. We enjoy the variety of interesting guests who pass through and try to make their stay with us as relaxed and comfortable as possible. Given the number of return visits, I hope we are beginning to achieve this.

Property information

Very comfortable bedrooms with walk in showers or roll top baths. Totally refurbished with nod to Georgian origins but modern fittings throughout. Guest courtesy bar and sitting room for relaxing and a separate breakfast room. We aim to create an informal, relaxed home from home with a few small luxuries.

Neighbourhood information

Peaceful village setting in stunning Welsh border country, convenient for Brecon Beacons, Llangorse Lake, the Elan Valley and Hereford Cathedral. Hay on Wye is just one mile distant and can be reached on foot in under 25 minutes or by car in 3 minutes. The Wye offers fishing and kayaking, there's horse riding next door with FreeRein holidays and perfect cycling and walking trails all around including the Wye Valley path and Offa's Dyke on the doorstep.
