Property info

Yejos is a beautiful, family run, private property with various sleeping accommodations for everyone. The property is set among private gardens with the precious rain forest bordering Corcovado National Park as a backdrop. Slightly off the beaten path, Yejos is located in the old gold mining town of Dos Brazos de Rio Tigre, 12 km from Puerto Jimenez. It is perfect for all travelers, couples, or groups who preferably have their own transportation. Dos Brazos is great for birdwatching, photography, hiking/walking, but NOT the place to make your arrangements for Corcovado National Park, restaurants or purchase supplies. We have basic WIFI for communication on the Yejos property. The gardens are impressive, depending on time of year, blooming with flowers and fruits attracting birds, butterflies and all other types of animals. The bird feeders provide for exciting photography. We provide various lodging options Open-air bungalow/cabanas with One large Queen bed (mosquito net optional) with sitting area. fan and private bath. The Bungalow is perfect for the adventurous or seasoned traveler. One private cozy cabin fully equipped, one room with fan, private bath, private kitchen and patio along river. The Cabin has one double bed and one single bed. No Kitchen. One small house fully equipped, two rooms, one with AC and the other with fan, private bath, private kitchen, patio and private parking. The small house is for couples or families. The small house has a nice bed in one room and two individual beds in the second bedroom. Large motel like building Up to 10 pp. 5 Rooms, 2 showers, 2 toilets. 4 rooms with double beds and 1 room with 2 single beds. The various accommodations can be combined for larger groups.

Neighborhood info

Dos Brazos de Rio Tigre is a small town of around 300 people. The town is famous for its gold mining and proximity to Corcovado National Park. A couple years ago (2015) a park trail for Corcovado National Park (not a park entrance) was opened so guests could access a small portion of the Park. Dos Brazos has been characterized as one of the last few remaining towns in Costa Rica that has not been overridden with tourism. Visiting Dos Brazos is an authentic experience and you will feel like you just visited a town from decades ago. Location We are located 12km from Puerto Jimenez. Dos Brazos is located in the foothills, of the Osa Peninsula bordering Corcovado National Park along the Rio Tigre (tiger river). Our fresh clean air, natural water and rural setting make for a much different experience than staying in the larger well known town of Puerto Jimenez. Please take into account the lack of amenities, stores, restaurants, cellular service, thus come with an open mind and laid back mind set. Prepare in advance for food purchases, national park arrangements and future stays. Dos Brazos is off the beaten path yet very close to everything you need. Puerto Jimenez is where you can find beaches, fishing, surfing, restaurants, stores, transportation and cellular service.
