Los Mineros Guesthouse was an outstanding starting point to explore the Osa Peninsula. Suzanna and Channy were wonderful hosts and made sure we had everything we needed. Channy was a great tour guide throughout our time there and loved sharing his knowledge and life experiences growing up in the jungle. The accommodations fit the ruggedness of the area and were what expected when we booked. We had a great time there!

Luis and Julia made my trip accessible and fun. Luis is a tremendous guide!
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.

Suzanna and Chani were amazing! They were both extremely welcoming and helpful! Staying at Los Mineros was my favourite part of my trip to Costa Rica. The guesthouse is surrounded by nature and you see all kinds of wildlife. It’s a perfect place to recharge. Chani is a great guide and showed me beautiful places in the jungle and numerous animals. I feel very fortunate to have found this guesthouse!
Situated right on the edge of the forest.
Howler monkeys right behind the guest house in the morning.
If you want to see some snakes make sure you do the night walk!!
This is a great guesthouse in a fantastic location. Suzanna is a very helpful and knowledgeable host, happy to sit and chat with her guests. Chani is a brilliant local guide and it's well worth going out on one or more of his tours.
There are many options to walk locally in the Golfo Dulce reserve, which is stunning. You will see lots of wildlife without straying too far from the guesthouse.
Overall, we really enjoyed our 6 nights at Los Mineros and were sad to leave.
Suzanna and Channy are great hosts; we did a day tour with Channy to Matalpalo and saw monkeys, sloth, macaws, pelicans - & more plus swam in waterfalls and at a beautiful beach. Just four of us plus guide and so good. Night tour also special. Very relaxed at property; big open air dining / sitting area and use of kitchen. Room very basic but clean and adequate ; cold water only ; fan on wall & mosquito net provided though not needed. Free good wifi.
Suzanne is a great host. Really pleasant and helpful especially when our taxi didn’t turn up she helped us out . The property certainly has character and the the pool is fantastic after a hot days hiking
