I've travelled quite a bit, but honestly have never had better hosts than Gloria and Willy. They are the most friendly and welcoming people you can imagine and are ready to help you out for anything and make you feel at home. Could not recommend more!

La Quinta Hostel Bar is located in La Barra, Punta del Este. The establishment is located 10 km from downtown Punta del Este and "Los Dedos" beach, 5 km from Manantiales and 20 km from José Ignacio. Very nice staff and especially welcoming at our arrival. Nice and calm atmosphere throughout our stay (in November). Good room with everything you need. A variety of board games and such available. Definitely would come back and can hence be recommended!

Located in Punta del Este, 1.5 km from Montoya, Negrita Hostel provides accommodation with a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a shared lounge. The staff were amazing, super friendly and generous with recommendations and time for a casual chat. The hostel was quiet as I was there outside of the main season but it felt really cosy because of that; I was also upgraded to a better room which was very kind. The location was fantastic, right next to a supermarket, beach, restaurants, cafes and shops. It also felt really safe. La Barra is a really cute area, I'd love to come back again and stay at Negrita. Thanks so much!

Mundaka Hostel y Bar features a large garden with an outdoor pool. The hostel has free WiFi access in all areas. Such a little gem! I felt like I was in Paradise! This is the perfect place to relax and recharge. Loved all the green areas, the decorations and the different chill zones. Everyone and everything was so calm and cool here, I would 100% recommend it to anyone! They also had a spacious and well equipped kitchen, super fast internet throughout the whole estate as well as comfy beds, blankets and warm showers. Thanks guys for this experience!

Boasting a games room and a garden, Hostel 32 offers comfortable dorm rooms with free Wi-Fi in a quiet area of Punta del Este, 100 metres from Playa Brava Beach. Punta Shopping Mall is 1.3 km. Very nice facilities, good kitchen, couches, outdoor area with pool. Very friendly volunteers. Family feeling

Salty House La Barra has a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and bar in Punta del Este. I’m traveling for 6 months and this was by far the best hostel I stayed in. The staff became like friends and the atmosphere is amazing. If you image a surfculture, this has the surfculture. The ultimate place to come to rest, close to a perfect beach and the nice streets of la barra. I would recommend this hostel all day to people. This hostel is for me a reason to come back to Uruguay next year. A big big fan here. Thanks for the wonderful stay here Cami, Vicky, Lu and Ines

Del Barcito Hostel offers comfortable rooms in Punta del Este, 300 metres from Mansa beach. The property is 200 metres from the commercial area and 300 metres from the Casino. The Hostel was near the beach, public transportation, and stores. The staff was awesome, they were helpful and available at all times.

Featuring an on site bar, The Trip Hostel offers budget rooms in Punta del Este. Free WiFi access is available in common areas. Each room is fitted with air conditioning and shared bathrooms. I had a great time at the Trip Hostel. I was traveling alone and arrived at the hostel on the last day of the year, I was immediately welcomed by the long-term guests and I ended up having a great New Year's Eve with them. The vibe is really laid-back and friendly. If you are traveling alone looking to meet some cool people look no further. Also, the location of the hostel couldn't be better, just two blocks from the "Dedos" sculpture, near playa mansa and brava, as well as the peninsula. If I'm back in Punta, I'm definitely staying there again.
