One word....Home. I have been travelling for 6 months and there are very few places that I felt instantly home. To start, Gloria and Willie were so patient to stay up for me when I arrived on a late bus to Pirapolis and I was so glad to see the lovely home that awaited me when i arrived. I slept amazingly in the clean and comfortable dorm room they provide and woke up to an amazing fresh breakfast the next day. I was only booked for 1 day but stayed 5 because they make you feel comfortable and the area has beautiful beaches to swim in and so many coastal and mountain walks to do every day! It's a slice of heaven. Gracias por todas Gloria & Willie❤️

La Quinta Hostel Bar is located in La Barra, Punta del Este. The establishment is located 10 km from downtown Punta del Este and "Los Dedos" beach, 5 km from Manantiales and 20 km from José Ignacio. Very nice staff and especially welcoming at our arrival. Nice and calm atmosphere throughout our stay (in November). Good room with everything you need. A variety of board games and such available. Definitely would come back and can hence be recommended!

Located in Punta del Este, 1.5 km from Montoya, Negrita Hostel provides accommodation with a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a shared lounge. The staff were amazing, super friendly and generous with recommendations and time for a casual chat. The hostel was quiet as I was there outside of the main season but it felt really cosy because of that; I was also upgraded to a better room which was very kind. The location was fantastic, right next to a supermarket, beach, restaurants, cafes and shops. It also felt really safe. La Barra is a really cute area, I'd love to come back again and stay at Negrita. Thanks so much!

The moment you arrive, everyone is greeting you and ready to help. The hostel was immaculate, they cleaned twice a day! The kitchen is well equipped. There are so many cool amenities like a pool table, a swimming pool, an amazing deck, hot showers, etc.

Salty House La Barra has a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and bar in Punta del Este. I’m traveling for 6 months and this was by far the best hostel I stayed in. The staff became like friends and the atmosphere is amazing. If you image a surfculture, this has the surfculture. The ultimate place to come to rest, close to a perfect beach and the nice streets of la barra. I would recommend this hostel all day to people. Stayed in a private room for one night. Really enjoyed my stay. The room was clean and spacious. The hostel staff were very friendly and the hostel facilities were good. The price was also unbeatable.

Del Barcito Hostel offers comfortable rooms in Punta del Este, 300 metres from Mansa beach. The property is 200 metres from the commercial area and 300 metres from the Casino. The Hostel was near the beach, public transportation, and stores. The staff was awesome, they were helpful and available at all times.

The outdoor area is super clean and decorated beautifully. Super clean bathrooms, and consistently hot water in the showers! The nicest and coolest staff ever!!!
