Do try the coffee shop inside the hostel premises. It is the cutest little place. The private rooms are very comfortable with heating provided. The bathrooms were clean and the showers were nice and hot.
Seward
Situated in Seward, Nauti Otter Inn and Yurt Village has a shared lounge, BBQ facilities and free WiFi. Free private parking is available and the hostel also features free use of bicycles for guests who want to explore the surrounding area. Everything. That was most likely one of the best 5 hostels I ever stayed in. The atmosphere was great! It felt very much like home. Beds were super comfy, breakfast was delicious =>coffee and vanilla milk - what an amazing combination!
Anchorage
Base Camp Anchorage Hostel is situated in Anchorage, 1.8 km from Sullivan Arena and 2.1 km from Dena'ina Civic and Convention Center. Free WiFi is available throughout the property and free private parking is available on site. The location is very convenient from the airport. People Mover number 40 takes you very close, it is like 14 stops, 20 minutes approx. cost 2 USD. Breakfast was simple but ok. Pancakes, waffles, all good, even coffee. Maybe in the morning would be fine to have nice, calm music that will make the morning even better. just suggestion.
Anchorage
Situated in Anchorage, Alaska, Ingra House is set 1.2 km from Sullivan Arena. The property is located a 17-minute walk from William A Egan Civic & Convention Center and 1.5 km from Dena ina Civic Convention Center. The property is 11 km from The Alaska Zoo. Super nice staff and the free bear spray was hugely helpful - as they offer it for free it anyone has left it behind
Seward
Bear Necessities Alaska is located in Seward. The hostel provides both free WiFi and free private parking.
Selected rooms are fitted with a kitchen with a fridge, a microwave and a stovetop.
Guests at the hostel will be able to enjoy activities in and around Seward, like hiking.
The shower was great - hot and good pressure. Everything was clean and tidy. The owner was super friendly and helpful answering questions, advising on places to eat etc. She also loaned me a coffee maker to make hot water for tea.
McGrath

John picked us up at the train station. My husbands luggage was damaged so he fixed it. The cabin is very spacious and in a great location. Clean and quiet
Very unique in a great way, historic. The common areas were filled with social type atmosphere. You could feel the history all around you. Beds were very comfortable and the breakfast was amazing and came with a chat from the chef. Would have been an amazing hostel, and lively if there were more guests.
Great location. Just opposite the Rangers station. Great view of the river an Mt Denali when the weather is kind. Most importantly the staff are friendly.
Self contained room was spacious and very good. Nice to have separate toilet and shower rooms. Great location. Downstairs restaurant owned by same person and it was superb, great food and lovely staff, wonderful complimentary breakfasts. Very close to ferry.... walkable.
About 4 blocks from edge of downtown shopping. Wide open so felt safe walking in light. Popcorn in lobby. Nice bed and shower. Looks older, nervous when walked up to it but turned out ok. No bad smell at all, like some old places. Newer fixtures in room but could use paint. If you are “particular” will findproblems, but for me good cheaper 1 night stay.
Very comfortable and charming accommodation with the ‘Bear’ theme throughout. Everything you need for a stay was provided and great location for trains, boat trips from marina and Safeway only a short walk away. Our host Shari went over and above with her hospitality.
Cheap, clean, self-checkin/checkout (simple!). It's not really hostel, more like B&B.. but I appreciate clean linen, towel, and well-maintained bath/restroom.
The vibes at this hostel are awesome, the staff is lovely. I had such a great time there, meet so many amazing people and was the best hostel experience I had so far
Reminded us of a youth hostel in Europe. Only nicer. Very well run.
