Free private parking is available and the hostel also features free use of bicycles for guests who want to explore the surrounding area. The staff was wonderful. The house is so well organized with all the information for Alaska being shared. The breakfast added a bonus. I would love to revisit it.
Anchorage
Base Camp Anchorage Hostel is situated in Anchorage, 1.8 km from Sullivan Arena and 2.1 km from Dena'ina Civic and Convention Center. Free WiFi is available throughout the property and free private parking is available on site. Nice place near downtown and other popular areas. You can buy stuff from amazon and they will save it for you (although it's $1 per day if you don't pick it up the same day). Breakfast is good though the dynamic is that they give you basic ingredients to make your own pancakes, then you have to cook them. In general I had a pretty good time over there.
Anchorage
Situated in Anchorage, Alaska, Ingra House is set 1.2 km from Sullivan Arena. The property is located a 17-minute walk from William A Egan Civic & Convention Center and 1.5 km from Dena ina Civic Convention Center. The property is 11 km from The Alaska Zoo. The place was very clean and organized. Well managed. Short walk to downtown.
Seward
Bear Necessities Alaska is located in Seward. The hostel provides both free WiFi and free private parking.
Selected rooms are fitted with a kitchen with a fridge, a microwave and a stovetop.
Guests at the hostel will be able to enjoy activities in and around Seward, like hiking.
It was very comfortable and clean. It exceeded our expectations and was exactly what we needed. Hot water, good water pressure.

The shuttle to and from the airport and the train. The situation near a river and the station. All staff were pleasant and the person who checked me in on my last stay, 23 July, sorry forgot the name, was very understanding and kind. The bedding was very clean and comfortable. Meeting people
About 4 blocks from edge of downtown shopping. Wide open so felt safe walking in light. Popcorn in lobby. Nice bed and shower. Looks older, nervous when walked up to it but turned out ok. No bad smell at all, like some old places. Newer fixtures in room but could use paint. If you are “particular” will findproblems, but for me good cheaper 1 night stay.
Very comfortable and charming accommodation with the ‘Bear’ theme throughout. Everything you need for a stay was provided and great location for trains, boat trips from marina and Safeway only a short walk away. Our host Shari went over and above with her hospitality.
Cheap, clean, self-checkin/checkout (simple!). It's not really hostel, more like B&B.. but I appreciate clean linen, towel, and well-maintained bath/restroom.
The vibes at this hostel are awesome, the staff is lovely. I had such a great time there, meet so many amazing people and was the best hostel experience I had so far
Reminded us of a youth hostel in Europe. Only nicer. Very well run.
