From looking at the photos online we just expected a nice and clean room to spend the first nights on the Azores. But it turns out they also had a beautiful garden, organized a great breakfast every morning with other people and scheduled some tours. The room was also bigger than expected (although our host told as at arrival that we had the biggest room, so that was maybe just luck.) with nice furniture and a very comfortable bed. Strongly recommended! :)

Located in Ponta Delgada, 12 km from Pico do Carvao, Island Bliss provides air-conditioned rooms and a shared lounge. Manager Tiago was on site and responsive to all out requests and needs. The kitchen was clean and well stocked with utensils, etc. Bathrooms were spotless. Great shower. Will definitely be going back.

Casa Portuguesa - Charming House features an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a terrace and bar in Ponta Delgada. Great location, wonderful staff and a well optioned breakfast buffet. We also enjoyed the thermal pool immensely.

Situated in Ponta Delgada, 13 km from Pico do Carvao, Sky PDL features air-conditioned accommodation and a shared lounge. Amazing views both for the sea and the hills. Very clean and modern rooms, and especially: quiet ones. We were afraid as it was called a "hostel" but it is very private, and the "hostel" part is the community kitchen, which actually had an amazing effect on the community. We really enjoyed staying. We could shade the room properly, and the bed is an actual queen bed. Staff was amazingly kind, speaking proper English. I highly recommend for everyone if you are looking for a peaceful stay in Ponta Delgada.

Located in Ponta Delgada, Santa Alegria Hostel features a garden, shared lounge, terrace, and free WiFi throughout the property. Everything was perfect. The hostel is very new and well organised. The whole place is very clean. Rooms are big enough to have plenty of privacy even in the dorm rooms. Breakfast is very good and there is very nice patio garden in the back. Ines (contact person) was very friendly and willing to help. There is not enough good words I can say about this place.

Azores Inn - Family Suites is set in Ponta Delgada, within 24 km of Sete Cidades Lagoon and 25 km of Lagoa Verde. Awesome place to stay in Ponta Delgada. It is near the city center and the sea, so you can reach everything by foot. Close to some good restaurants as well. Really comfortable bed. Airconditioning makes the temperature of the room perfect for every weather :)

Situated in Ponta Delgada and with Pico do Carvao reachable within 12 km, Magma Hostel features a shared lounge, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi throughout the property and a terrace. The location in Old Town was excellent! I loved having a private room ensuite with the shared kitchen and living spaces. The balcony was a nice space to have a glass of wine and relax. The entire hostel was spotless and well appointed. The shower was hot with good pressure. Free street parking or nearby lot parking was available. The host was friendly and responded to all inquiries quickly, even walked my husband to the nearest market for sundries on our first day.
