Alot of people do 2 days and skip staying at Gloria's in San juan. But I recommend to do 3 days that way you enjoy the afternoon sun and also get to the oasis the next day wally to enjoy the pool (those that do 2 days get in very late). Great value! Simple kitchen with everything we needed to cook our own meals. Easy walk from the main square. The host was lovely and gave us tips on how to go to the Colca Canyon. Would stay again!

Peter's hostel provides spacious dorm rooms, each room comes with 6 beds and lockers. Private rooms are also available. All rooms have shared bathroom facilities. We were not sure what to expect when we booked this budget hostel at its low price. It was much better than the previous hotels we stayed in that were quite expensive. We had a queen room on the roof top floor with access to two full bathrooms, kitchen, dining area and fridge. The bed had the faded mismatched sheets, but they were the absolute softest ones I've crawled into! We arrived very tired after a not so comfy overnight bus at 0530am. The manager Daniel was so kind, he gave us a room as soon as we arrived to rest. He helped us out a lot with directions, activity suggestions, and even told us where to go to get a sim card for 5 Soles for 5 days. We had prebooked a Colca Canyon Tour and left at 4am before breakfast was served, but Daniel had a bag with fresh bread, butter and jams ready for us to take on our way! The location was perfect, right beside the main square where all the activities and tours meet ups take place. Walking distance to the market as well. I had already booked our activities ahead of time, but David suggested so many more things to us. I guess we will have to go to Peru again:) Activities we did (and recommend): -Sillar tour -Full day colca canyon with hot springs -San Camilo market (try the queso helado ice cream) Activities we didn't get time for: -monasterio de Santa Catalina -free walking tour -ice maiden @ Museo Santuarios Andinos -panoramic bus tour from main plaza -rooftop restaurant along the plaza at sunset -Pillones waterfall

Providing a tranquil environment, the rooms in Park Hostel feature either private or shared bathroom facilities with 24-hour hot water. The rooms were comfortable and big. Hot water. Good hangout areas on the terrace and fantastic location. Ended up extending for another 5 days. I got ill the last few days and juan and sandra were amazing. Juan went out and cooked me some soup to help my stomach, what a gentleman! Best hostel in peru they were amazing.
