I don’t think you can be closer to nature. The gardens are beautiful. Pool area is exquisite with lots of different places to relax at (sunbeds, monkey net, swings, hammocks, sofas). Food is delicious. The staff is very kind and they are always around to help. Everything is well organised and all the buildings are beautifully decorated. Take the free jungle-hike with them in the morning! (Although you can do it on your own as well.) You can rent kayaks too. The whole complex runs on solar energy and rainwater, but there is no shortage, and there was always plenty of hot water. No dangerous animals on the island. I have no words… it was difficult to leave.

Located 1 block from the seafront in Bocas del Toro, Spanish by the Sea – Bocas offers a communal kitchen and dining area, a garden, a space with lots hammocks and accommodation with free Wi-Fi. it’s a great position just off the Main Street so really quiet but only 2mins to restaurants etc. The owner gives a very warm welcome and has great advice for the area and sorts any shuttles etc you may require.

Set in Boca del Drago, this beachfort property offers accommodation in Bocas Town. The property is a 20 minutes walk from Playa Estrella. The rooms are located in a spacious house built right on the beach. If you are looking for not fancy but very comfortable place in a beautiful location book it without hesitation! The kitchen is very well maintained and equipped. It’s a great place to cook your own meals. We loved to eat outside and watch the waves. We enjoyed that we were able to swim right there, the ocean was very calm and warm that days. Rocio is an excellent host and communication with her was pleasant. The house is 20 minutes walk to famous “sea star beach”, one of the best places on Earth
