The host family is kind, Pedro knows the location very well and gave us many usefull recommendation. We appreciated a huge shower corner, shared kitchen and perfect breakfast. I am not sure how complicated is to reach city center from here as it’s about 2km far away. We had our own car and there was parking place available. You should stay here!

Very friendly and helpful staff, giving tips about things to do in Boquete. The hostel itself is beautiful with an amazing view from the bar/restaurant. The vibes were great too with the other guests!

Beautiful location, amazing staff, fast internet, warming people, and an otherworldly landscape, I stayed there for 2 weeks and every day was a unique experience, I met awesome people and I enjoyed being around the amazing nature and garden the hostel has to offer.

Comfortable, the room that I stayed at was better than the pictures shown here. The AC and fan were perfect, shower had both cool and hot water. Also the location is perfect, everything is pretty close in distance, and the restaurant downstairs was really good.

El Spanish by the River – Boquete es un colorido albergue con WiFi y aparcamiento gratuitos situado en el centro de Alto Boquete, e imparte clases de baile y de cocina en el establecimiento. Muy bueno si van en plan familiar, se pasa chevere la estadia, y gracias al joven carlos muy atento.

Johnny Fiestas está en Las Lajas, a pocos pasos de Playa Las Lajas, y dispone de alojamiento con jardín, parking privado gratis, salón de uso común y bar. Matt is simply fantastic. He’s built the whole place himself which gives you a ‘homey’ feeling. He’s helping the neighbouring families, listens to their stories and tries to be there for them if he can. He also understands his bartending job very well, knows his customers’ musical preferences, sees right through you if you need a ‘talk’ or knows to leave you on you own when you need some time off. The place is also perfect for a nice party with just good vibes, you can drink at the bar, lie in a hammock or take a nightly swim in the ocean, which is really only 10meters away. I was in the low-season and can totally recommend going here when traveling between Boquete and Santa Catalina. I had the beach and dorm all by myself, walked nightstrolls to find hatching turtles on the beach (completely safe to walk alone) and the waves are perfect for surfing and bodyboarding. I felt at home, which is the best feeling while traveling for a long time. Just take that goddamn detour, and you’ll be rewarded! 😉For this price, you can’t get anything as close in Panama.
