Global Village provides comfortable, unique backpackers’ accommodation. Beautifully decorated with a Global Art theme. The hostel is big with a lot of common areas. They have free kayaks and bikes and there is a sauna. The owner is very patient and friendly.

O Ivorytowers Accommodation está situado em frente à floresta tropical e às montanhas do Westland National Park (parque nacional), apenas a 4 minutos a pé da vila de Fox Glacier. Room and bathroom are very clean.

Glow Worm Accommodation is located in the center of Franz Josef and offers a range of shared dormitory rooms and private en suite rooms. Free unlimited WiFi is included. The host was incredibly friendly and there were awesome facilities avaliable, to top it all off free vegetable soup in the evenings, a popcorn machine and use of a spa pool!

Surrounded by rainforest and mountains, Chateau Backpackers & Motels offers an outdoor fire pit, BBQ facilities. Surprisingly good free breakfast including cereal, pancakes and toast. Other amenities too, and well set up for socialising. One of the best hostels I've stayed in.

Wild Kea Lodge Franz Josef offers free unlimited WiFi and free on-site parking. It features free access to BBQ facilities, shared kitchen and a communal lounge area with a TV. One of the best value for money places I have even stayed in! Great facilities, the staff are so accommodating and helpful. If I ever come back to Franz Josef I would definitely stay here again! Highly recommend

Tripinn YHA is the only Westport Hostel without a party bus so you will enjoy a good nights sleep. Just 3 minutes’ walk from Westport main street, Tripinn Motel & Share Accommodation. Everything was clean, lovely common room with fire :)

Set against a backdrop of rainforest and mountain, Haka House Franz Josef Glacier features solar hot water and power, a fully equipped shared kitchen and a guest lounge with satellite TV. Very clean! Bunks felt very private with curtain and had outlets/shelving/lights in them.
