Manowhenua Lodge ligger i nationalparken, under 16 km fra Mount Ruapehu og 17 km fra Taranaki-vandfaldene. Common area with fireplace and comfy sofas, extremely nice owners, you feel like family there. One of my most favorite hostel during my 2 month road trip in New Zealand.

Situated in the town of Ohakune, on the edge of Tongariro National Park, LKNZ Lodge & Cafe is within 5 minutes' walk of restaurants, bars and shops. It features a sauna, hot tubs and an on-site cafe. So accommodating and comfortable basically had the place to myself and allowed late check in due to my travels

National Park Backpackers ligger i nationalparken, 15 km fra Mount Ruapehu, og tilbyder indkvartering med have, gratis privat parkering, fælles opholdsstue og grillfaciliteter. Very clean and comfortable place. Well equipped kitchen. Friendly and helpful staff. Very good value for money. The beds are comfortable and my room was quiet.

The Crossing Lodge & Backpackers ligger i Erua, under 21 km fra Mount Ruapehu og 22 km fra Taranaki-vandfaldene. The general atmospehre of the place. The hidden TV room was a really good suprise!

Slalom Lodge ligger i Raurimu, 21 km fra Mount Ruapehu, og tilbyder indkvartering med have, gratis privat parkering, fælles opholdsstue og restaurant. Absolutely amazing hosts. The kindest people I’ve met. Thank you so much for making me feel so welcome and looked after ❤️❤️❤️
