A very social hostel with a great atmosphere and a great staff. The manager is very kind and helpful, he gives us many tips on things to do on the area and takes us to surfing lessons in the morning if we want. In the evening we all gather around a tasty family dinner cooked by the staff. There's even a skate park in the hostel ! Good location at 15min by walk from town-center and close to several beach in a quiet stress ! Bathrooms and dorms are clean with fans above each bed or AC. I highly recommend this place !

I stayed at shine Rise Hostel for a couple of weeks whilst in Arugam Bay and I loved it! The staff are super friendly and went out of their way to help, the hostel was always clean and tidy, beds were comfy towels soft and I made some lovely friends in the chill out areas. The place was on the beach and there have wonderful bar also Location is great We look forward to visit again this place Would definitely recommend.
