They gave me a big city map and explained what places are worth visiting in the Seoraksan National Park and in Sokcho. I highly appreciate they helped me plan an onward bus journey to Andong. The bus stop for the National Park is 15 minutes away on foot, the express bus terminal for Seoul about the same, and the intercity bus terminal is a short bus ride away. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable and very quiet. I booked a single, but received a double room - thank you! There was a large fridge and a freezer on every floor.

Situated in Gangneung, 35 km from Pyeongchang Olympic Plaza, Aark House features air-conditioned accommodation and a terrace. Booked a dorm but the host was generous enough to give me a private room. When I extended my stay, I had to move to a shared room. Had good sleep in both rooms because beds are clean and even have curtains for privacy (in the dorm) Entire place has a homey vibe with pantry/kitchen and cute nooks / small lounge area. Host also took care of my laundry at a reasonable fee.

The room and the bed were even bigger than expected, the breakfast was very nice (I miss fruits since I've been living here so that was very welcome) and the lady was so sweet and helpful. I wish I could have stayed longer !
