Open from June 2015, Glocal Nagoya Backpackers Hostel offers modern accommodation, just a 7-minute walk from JR Nagoya Station. Guests can enjoy various beverages at the on-site bar or cafe. Initially came for the location which is very close to the station. I ended up loving it for the staff, who were amazingly kind and welcoming. They invited me to join their event on Friday night and I had the best time! The facilities were great and the room comfy. Couldn't have asked for more 💚

The owner is very kind and helpful, there was a matsuri ( festival) going on and she guided us warmly. The atmosphere in the accommodation is like basic modern which we really like. The breakfast was simple but it is very tasty. You can choose between rice or bread set. Overall, we are satisfied with our stay! The town is also really beautiful.

The location is superb, like 3 mins by foot to Yabachon subway, and close to bus stops too. It's literally near every spots that I wanted to visit, since the property is in Sakae. The property is small, yet it captures all basic needs. On top of that, the owner, Moja-san (I hope I don't type wrong) is very helpful.

A slightly unusual small inn in a downtown shopping street near Nagoya Station. Opened in April 2015. Loveee the Japanese style room that we stayed in, very clean, we had 2 people so it was very spacious, great value for the price, lovely place with everything you need! Also, a big plus that it is close to a lot of restaurants that open late at night and offer very nice food and drink. The area is very quite, a nice neighbourhood of Japanese style house. Will def. come back again when I'm in Nagoya :)

No English speakers, but they truly made the best of the communication challenges. I asked for dinner reservations and the host called several places and make me a reservation. Staff was definitely dedicated to making my stay as comfortable as possible!
