A standalone farm very close to Hvitserkur. The owner was very nice and talkative, even though we arrived 10-15 minutes late. Comfortable rooms, cosy common area. Also a chance to see the Icelandic horses from a close distance nearby. A really quiet, remote and pleasant place close to nature.

Situated in the centre of Dalvík, across from the harbour, this family-run hostel is 45 km from Akureyri. It offers free Wi-Fi, a communal kitchen and individually decorated rooms. The host is very sweet and welcoming. The house is in a great location, just a five-minute walk to the whale watching center. The decor has a charming, vintage feel, and the kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need. We loved the café on the corner, where the fresh fish soup and bread were some of the best we've ever had. Next door is a century-old cinema with a vintage projector. Everything was wonderful. Highly recommend!

I like the idea of this kind of hostel and bar/pub. They have great customerservice, delicious meels and strong coffe. Place is spacious that guests of the hostel and visitors fom the street can find a cosy room for them to spend a very nice time.
