Set a 10-minute walk from central Akureyri, this family-owned hostel offers basic rooms with a TV and free Wi-Fi access. Iceland’s Ring Road/Route 1 is right next to the hostel. Fantastic place, fantastic personnel, very clean, modern and fully equipped kitchen, more like I boutique hotel than a typical hostel. Free parking, close to bonus supermarket. Everything perfect. I eill surely return

Also a chance to see the Icelandic horses from a close distance nearby. A really quiet, remote and pleasant place close to nature.

Situated in the centre of Dalvík, across from the harbour, this family-run hostel is 45 km from Akureyri. It offers free Wi-Fi, a communal kitchen and individually decorated rooms. Great value, such a cute place! The owners/hosts were super friendly, we loved our stay here!

Situated in central Akureyri, Akureyri Backpackers offers free Wi-Fi and rooms with access to shared bathroom facilities. A swimming pool and hot tubs are a 1-minute walk away. I like the idea of this kind of hostel and bar/pub. They have great customerservice, delicious meels and strong coffe. Place is spacious that guests of the hostel and visitors fom the street can find a cosy room for them to spend a very nice time.
