We warmly recommend this place, and the location was ideal for those who want to visit the north-east of the island the next day. If we ever come back to Iceland, we will definitly come here again !

Húsey Hostel & Horsefarm features accommodation 55 km from Egilsstadir. The hostel has family rooms. At the hostel the rooms include a shared bathroom with a shower. This was the most wonderful place to stay. The hostel is a hundred year old home maintained to its true character. The farm is in the most beautiful, isolated area. More than horses, it offers nature walks. I was only sorry I didn't stay longer. Very unique experience and loved it.

Located in Djúpivogur village, this hostel offers rooms with free WiFi. The rooms are located in a separate house, while there is a shared kitchen in the main building. the owner was super helpful and saved our day by calling the mechanic when our car broke down.
