Set in a stunning location next to Whitby’s famous Gothic Abbey, this historic building offers beautiful views of the coast. YHA Whitby offers extensive gardens, 24-hour access, and a restaurant. It is an amazing big old building. Staying in that building was almost as much fun as visiting Whitby. Terrific location!

Nestled in the peaceful village of Malham in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales, YHA Malham is situated next to numerous fantastic walking and cycling routes. The staff were very friendly. Especially Luke who stayed late after his shift to give us hiking advice. They offered breakfast and a great cup of coffee. The rooms were very large and comfortable for two people. The facilities were clean. We appreciated the drying room after a wet day of hiking. Would definitely come back.

The bed was comfortable and the shower very clean and powerful. The setting of an interesting building could not be bettered. Staff friendly and atmosphere the most genuinely relaxed I've experienced. Lots of books to read and local information.
