Set in the heart of Ponferrada's historic centre, Albergue Guiana is just 2 minutes' walk from the Templars Castle, Encina Basilica and the Museum of Bierzo y de la Radio. Staff were very friendly, explained everything and showed us where we could store our bikes. The hostel is located about a 10-15 min away from the Templar castle. The room/washroom was very clean and comfortable.

The room was cozy, and with only four guests, sitting down with the owners for dinner felt like a family dinner. The food was excellent, freshly made salads and specialty pizzas. Also loved the decor.

It was clean and spacious and airy - and it had regular beds (no bunk beds). It is just a few minutes walk from the main square in Villafrance del Bierzo. It has a kitchen, but I went out to the restaurants in the immediate area.
