Situated in Puerto López, a few steps from Puerto Lopez Beach, Hostería Mandála features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. Location for us was perfect. Just to the north of town but a 5-10 walk to everywhere and restaurants within a couple of minutes and $1 tuk-tuks available to take you anywhere in town. Our room was huge and the shower was great with good pressure and lots of hot water. Breakfast was great and the staff were really helpful organising transfers and our tour to Isla Plata- which was great.

Situated in San Lorenzo, 35 km from Manta Harbour, Mambo Ecohostal features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. The atmosphere of the hostel is really nice. It’s laidback, beautiful with all the natural materials and the lookout on the sea and the owners are super nice and helpful. We booked a room with two beds and shared bathroom, because we couldn’t find another option on Booking, but when we arrived they offered the room with double bed and included bathroom for the same price. Super friendly and attentive! It’s clean and we liked the design of the room(s) and the whole hostel. They also offer a place where you can sleep in a tent with sea view on the top floor. Text them and they will inform you! Super cool (and even less expensive). They also have a menu to order some drinks and meals, which were really tasty (and homemade, even the bread!). Definitely don’t skip San Lorenzo to relax, see frigate birds, blue-footed booby’s and maybe (just born) turtles. Or visit the rainforest with monkeys. Walk to the lighthouse and swim in the sea. Definitely recommend!
