The staff is extremely helpful and our trip to Costa Rica started well thanks to them. The house is great, the kitchen is well organised, the bathroom is efficient. They offer a very friendly and affordable airport transfer, we highly recommand to take advantage of it especially since taxi drivers in San José airport are not reliable and rarely offer a fair rate.

Located within 31 km of Poas National Park and 2.3 km of Alejandro Morera Soto Stadium, Flor de Katty Hostel Airport provides rooms in Alajuela City. I booked this for a one night stay after a flight that got in late at night as it is located so conveniently close to the airport. However, I ended up being ill that night and the next day and so extended my stay one night. Im so glad I did - as others have said, Katty is an amazing host - she is SO kind and went above and beyond to help me. She looked after me like I was family- bringing me tea in bed, making me soup, giving me medicine etc. and quite literally nursing me back to health. The warm shower was also appreciated, and she brought a fan to my room when I was too hot with a fever. Couldn’t have asked for more - thank you my Costa Rican mama!

Excellent and unexpected (not stated on Booking.com) complimentary breakfast with a delicious selection of fresh fruit. Very nice and helpful hosts, take care of every request and give excellent recommendations.

Set in Ángeles, 18 km from La Fortuna Waterfall, Cabañas San Isidro offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking and barbecue facilities. Great place for families with kids. We even got invited to the dinner with Juan - the owner of the property, and his wonderful wife and friends. Plus we also got a free excursion in the sorrounding garden where Juan grows mangos, avocados, blackberries and meny other fruits. Absolutely recommend.

Situated in Fortuna and with La Fortuna Waterfall reachable within 5.6 km, Pura Vibra Hostel features concierge services, rooms, a garden, free WiFi throughout the property and a shared lounge. Almost everything. Extended thrice during my stay. I slept like a baby. Personal fans in every bed and my bed itself was really comfortable. The staff is some of the sweetest and most helpful I've had in central America. Nice, well equipped, large kitchen. There's a TT table for those who play. All the common areas being in one place ensures that it's pretty social but not in a loud way. Very easy to make friends and talk to people, find others to plan activities together etc.

Arenal Sloth Hostel is set in Fortuna, within 5 km of La Fortuna Waterfall and 5.4 km of Kalambu Hot Springs. I had a really nice stay, location was good as well. The owners very kind and helped me with all the information I needed.
