Savannah House was a welcoming and calm place to spend our first night in Tanzania! The room was very clean and comfortable and outside area was beautiful and comfortable, with plenty of places to sit and enjoy. The staff were very kind, genuine and accommodating and made us feel very welcome and comfortable. They lit a fire in the fireplace and cooked a delicious, authentic dinner and breakfast!

Stayed here after a Safari and before climbing Meru. Was an excellent place to stay - cozy, beautiful, and with very generous and warm hosts. We had an afternoon walk around the entire area guided by one of the hosts (where the farmers gifted us some free eggplants (aubergine) that they were harvesting), and then a very nice dinner cooked by them.
By the looks and sounds of the place after speaking with them, they are new to this eco-cabin business, but have great plans to expand and make it even more impressive for tourists who come through and want to experience the calm, quiet, and very naturally beautiful areas of Tanzania.
Very worthwhile staying here!

I loved the location and the host. Daniel was so much fun to hang out with and showed us around the area. He was also very accomodating of extra friends I met along the way who came to visit.

My brother and I had perfect 2 days in Shamba Hostel. We were the only guest in the entire Hostel but breakfast and dinner were prepared with so much love and it was very tasty...thank you for these perfect dinners. Rooms were very clean with clean bathrooms on suite. No luxury at all, but everything there what you need.
The host, his wife and the rest of the staff were very kind and friendly. They also took us for a short stroll through the nearby village. If I ever come to Arusha again, I will stay here. Thank you for an unforgettable stay.
Great location and sets you up well if you are going on safari. There are multiple types of birds everywhere and saw giraffes in the distance. Lucas and team were great.

The hostel arranged the airport pick up which was great. Nice spacious rooms, hot water and wonderful food provided for dinner and breakfast. Lovely garden. Friendly staff. The hostel is also used for voluntary projects focusing on local development activities. Lovely walk nearby in the countryside and by the river.
The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. No request is too little or too large. The lodge is very tastefully designed and the food is great. Great location just next to Arusha National Park.
