A wonderful experience! Everything is great, from the rooms (we had two different cabins), the food and above all the staff! They are so nice and so helpful, we got a last minute change of plan due to the airline one our way back from the safari and we contacted them directly through text message to know if they had availability for the same day, they also helped us with the airport transfer, thank you again!

A wonderful, local designed and relaxing hostel, The kindness of the employees is truly warming. On top of that, the manager is always keen to support local non-profit organisations. We strongly recommend this place. Rooms are nice and you will enjoy drinking a hand-made juice made with fresh fruit . I found the hostel via the price / map function since it was never actively using booking to get customers. This is really sad, because the house is worth to be found and I hope I can help others to find it.
Relevant for me is the location (bus is close, in the green, no noise, here I have an amazing mountain-view), a breakfast that I can discuss how I want to have it and when I have a problem than I know they will help me.
Since the building is as good as new (build not yet two years ago) and the wonderful woodwork is above from what I usually get in a hostel, the location is special and the people are friendly and help me with there connections whatever I desire I can live with a perfect rating what I normally never give .....

It was my first time visiting East Africa and Tanzania and I was really nervous, but these guys were so friendly that I immediately felt completely relaxed and happy to be there. The accommodation is in a really peaceful area with lots of beautiful birdsong in the morning, and it was nice to be a bit further from the city centre in their little piece of paradise, rather than being overwhelmed by the noise and car fumes of the city

Everyone is so friendly and I felt so welcomed.
The food was very delicious, the internet was strong, which was perfect so I could work from there.
I would also recommend doing the Arusha Tour that they offer. It was amazing. I got to see the beautiful nature of Arusha, I saw monkeys so close next to me, I swam in the waterfall and learnt so much about the healing effects of so many plants. Making and tasting the coffee and all the spices (including Bananabeer!!!) was so interesting.
In the end I stayed much longer at the airbnb than l had planned.🧡
Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.

My brother and I had perfect 2 days in Shamba Hostel. We were the only guest in the entire Hostel but breakfast and dinner were prepared with so much love and it was very tasty...thank you for these perfect dinners. Rooms were very clean with clean bathrooms on suite. No luxury at all, but everything there what you need.
The host, his wife and the rest of the staff were very kind and friendly. They also took us for a short stroll through the nearby village. If I ever come to Arusha again, I will stay here. Thank you for an unforgettable stay.
Great location and sets you up well if you are going on safari. There are multiple types of birds everywhere and saw giraffes in the distance. Lucas and team were great.

The hostel arranged the airport pick up which was great. Nice spacious rooms, hot water and wonderful food provided for dinner and breakfast. Lovely garden. Friendly staff. The hostel is also used for voluntary projects focusing on local development activities. Lovely walk nearby in the countryside and by the river.
The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. No request is too little or too large. The lodge is very tastefully designed and the food is great. Great location just next to Arusha National Park.
