Amazing Stay at LOL Elephant Hostel!
I had an incredible experience staying at LOL Elephant Hostel during my trip to Bangkok. From the moment I arrived, the staff were welcoming, friendly, and always ready to help with anything I needed. The hostel has a fun and vibrant atmosphere, perfect for meeting other travelers while also having a peaceful space to relax.
The rooms were clean and comfortable, with cozy beds and excellent air conditioning — a lifesaver in the Bangkok heat! The shared bathrooms were also well-maintained and tidy, with hot water and good water pressure. I especially appreciated the lockers available for securing my belongings.
One of the best things about LOL Elephant Hostel is its fantastic location. It’s within walking distance of major attractions like the Grand Palace and Khao San Road, making it easy to explore the city. Despite being close to the action, the hostel is in a quieter street, so I could get a good night’s sleep.
The communal areas were great for socializing, with a cool, laid-back vibe. I enjoyed hanging out in the lounge and the rooftop area after a day of sightseeing. The free Wi-Fi was fast and reliable, which was perfect for planning my next adventures.
Overall, LOL Elephant Hostel is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a fun, affordable, and comfortable stay in Bangkok. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to other travelers!

Best hostel I’ve ever stayed at. Very social and a great community of travelers. All the staff are very kind and helpful. Yoga class everyday for free. Events by the hostel that take you into town every day of the week. The “capsules” you sleep in are very nice. I wish more hostels had that system it makes going to sleep way easier and it’s harder to get woken up by people coming in at 5am. AC turns off at 11am which will get you out of bed, but I think that is proper to get you out exploring and meeting people, which is what traveling is all about. Would recommend to anyone it’s a very safe and fun place to stay!

Super lovely staff. Great esthetics, a lot of plants, clean and a great vibe. Some mosquitos present but they are spraying against them regularly.
I like the area, very close to Chinatown with the best food in Bangkok.
Hostel's coffee shop has ok food, very well plated.
Staff allowed me to take a shower and gave me a towel even after I checked out so I'm not continuing my journey over night sticky what was verryyyy nice touch.
Beds in dorms very well adjusted to every traveller needs; with separate lamp, little fan, enough plugs, hangers, little shelfs and cupboards.

There were a varied amount of social activities offered, almost one a day. It was a cohesive social - not party - atmosphere. Encouraged conversation among guests.

Budget travelers know there's no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: Save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a little more.
I loved that Matini is close to the station, cheap, clean, friendly English-speaking staff, quiet, big comfortable seating areas, lots of natural light, free coffee, cold drinking water, fridge, big table, spacious safe storage with cheap padlocks, free WiFi, sockets, curtains for each bed, comfortable beds with towels provided, cheap delicious food available to order and hand delivered. The staff also helped me order a taxi to Koh Chang.
All we needed for the 3 nights in bangkok.
Used grab to get around which was cheap! Tried the trains but soo busy! Great coffee close by and eating places walking distance.
Plenty of drinking water, washing machine which was awesome. Shared kitchen space. V good aircon. Nicely refurbished!
Great location to the main train station and Chatuchak Weekend market, modern, clean, and they were happy for me to leave luggage and lounge around in their very comfortable communal area before catching the overnight train to Chiang Mai.
best hostel I ever stayed in. The staff treats you SO good! It’s very clean, I saw a that there are 10+ people just for cleaning. It’s so modern and pretty, you feel rich while paying nearly nothing🥹
