We loved our stay at Aloha and wish we could have extended our trip by several more weeks! Without a doubt the two biggest draws are the amazing location and the wonderful family who runs the guesthouse. They were endlessly helpful and attentive to even the smallest details and needs. We will miss waking up each morning to a beautiful peaceful ocean view with nothing but the sounds of nature. Thank you and see you again!

Great value, friendly staff, and the room had everything I needed for a night’s stay. Especially loved the hammock and seating area facing the water :)

Close to shops, restaurant and beach! Super clean. Really nice bed, linens and towels. Comfortable right down to the house slippers Kai provides for you! Some guests mention no direct access to the beach, but I enjoyed going thru ECO Resort as the tall thin man let me use the beach chairs, plus I had a wonderful fried fish for lunch and super good i e cream!

Happiness Hostel was a great place to stay! The A/C was great, the beds were big and comfy with space to keep your toiletries, and the owner, Atom, is incredibly kind and attentive. She’s always checking in with guests to see if they need anything. Bonus: she owns Together Cafe (down the road), where hostel guests get a 10% discount—and the food there is delicious!
The staff also went above and beyond by helping me book my transport from Koh Lanta to Phuket. They arranged everything, including a pickup in Koh Lanta and a taxi to drop me off directly at my hostel in Phuket. It was such a relief not having to worry about the logistics.
Oh, and Fatty Cat? Total star of the show! If you’re allergic to cats, this might not be the spot for you, but for the cost, it was a great stay all around.

Very cozy and clean hostel in Koh Lanta, I stayed for one week traveling solo, 7 eleven and many restaurants are nearby. 4-5 minute walk to the beach and very quiet location. The owners are very kind souls and put their passion and love into running the hostel. Will definitely return again.
Budget travelers know there's no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: Save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a little more.
